A fascinating district for lovers of art and of the history of architecture, the 8th arrondissement also exerts a powerful draw on fans of stage, screen and canvas. The stages of theatres (such as the Theatre Tristan Bernard at… 64 Rue du Rocher), the screens of the cinemas to be found throughout the district, and the canvasses that hang on the walls of its museums – of which there are no fewer than nine here, including Le Petit Palais and Le Grand Palais. A wealth of stimulating attractions to intrigue even the most inquisitive of minds.

A hop, skip and a jump from the incomparable pathways of Parc Monceau

Numerous health clubs are on hand in this neighbourhood to help you stay in shape. Or why not just slip on your trainers and take a jog through the lush greenery nearby, such as Parc Monceau, no more than 15 minutes away by foot… without having to break into a run. Alternatively, let one of the personal trainers who work at the gym located at 18 Rue Roquépine (800 metres away on foot from the residence), or the Espace Beaujon, on Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, manage your fitness regime.

Worth noting

• The Camille Saint-Saëns municipal conservatory, located at 208 Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré. Housed in the Hotel Beaujon, the conservatory offers over 30 different activities for 800 pupils and students aged between four and twenty eight years old, all of them themed around music, dance and drama.
• When it comes to the nine theatres to which the 8th arrondissement plays home, one has to single out those of Theatre du Rond-Point, Theatre des Mathurins, Theatre des Champs Elysées, the Madeleine and Marigny, among others.
