Buying an apartment in the city of Antibes is a great privilege! Does that sound presumptuous? The gentle side of the Riviera

Back in ancient history, Antibes – renowned as the jewel of the Côte d’Azur – was the site the Phocaean Greeks chose to set up a trading post, confident they had discovered a rare pearl. It was later rewarded by Rome for having supported Caesar against Pompeii.
Cherished by tourists in the 1920s, Juan les Pins was to become a “suburb” of Antibes and a place where rich Americans created a “space of freedom” for themselves. The tone was set and the sweeter side of life has never since left its sun-drenched shores.
